Knowledge is power. That saying rings true in the world of the ghosthunter especially. We must always strive for knowledge in this field, for what we know, or think we know, is a mere speck of dust in the vastness of the paranormal universe. Mankind has become arrogant in his world. To think he has discovered all is not only stupid ,it's also dangerous.
Never pretend to have all the answers. And whether you delve into the esoteric alone or as part of group, always leave yourself open to the pursuit of new ideas. In the world of the ghosthunter, only about 1% of what we do can stand up to the physical laws of modern science. The other 99%, no matter how convincing it may be, is purely subjective. But such is the fate of all new discoveries. Everything science knows as an undeniable fact was at one time subjective.
That being said, I would like to a recommend a book that is perfect for the beginning ghost hunter, and is filled with alot of helpful tips for the veterens too: HOW TO HUNT GHOSTS; A Practical Guide. By Josh P. Warren.
This really is an excellent book. The first half discusses the theories behind the paranormal. And the second half, as the name implies, is a practical guide to hunting ghosts. When, where, how, equipment, etc. Again I recommend it to anyone interested in this field.
How about other literature? We all have read the plethora of non-fiction ghost story compilations, but does anyone have any other PRACTICAL books they'd like to recommend?

I'd like to recommend DISCARNOTES. This is a paranormal logbook written and designed by Brian D Byers. Its just what is says, a log book for the documentation and investigation of haunted and ghostly phenomena. Its divided up into sections for your separate cases. Included in each case section are interview questions, a space for baseline EMF recordings, phases of the moon, weather observations, property history questionnaire, diagrams space for property, rooms, investigation report. You just fill in the blanks. Included in the back are sample introduction letter forms, release forms, liability release forms, permission to investigate, a glossary. I got mine on amazon.com and its been worth every penny.
