Well we got rained out today so I have time to play on the computer. I've been doing some thinking. This search, this quest I have embarked on has reached an impass. As anyone who knows me can attest, The world of the esoteric is my one true passion in life. I live to find a way to give the dead a voice. And I hope when my energy is floating around in the ether, there will be a passionate mortal out there that lives to do the same.

But therin is where my problem lies. My thirst for doing this drives me to seek out those who match my enthusiasm, but so many people do this stuff for someting to do that's a little different. I long to find someone who will pack uup and head to an abbandonded house or cemetary with me the day after I get permission. My wife is cool about letting me go, so that base is covered. But I cant get anyone to go with me. When I try to call people they always have more pressing concerns. Ghost Hunting is near the bottom of thier list of priorities. Do musicians play on a schedule? NO they call each other up, then get together and jam. Does the old fishing buddies only go fishing when planned weeks in advance. No they get home from work and pack the boat up and go. I do my haunt hunting the same way. I just cant seem to find a Buddy.

So I think I'm gonna try a different approach. I'll still goto the scheduled cases, but in the meantime Im going to open up a sort ofparanormal counselers office. Why not invite the dead to come to me. Im going to start experimenting with different EVP sessions here at home, thereby giving them their voice. Ill keep everyone updated on my progress.

Dan,

Its not a good idea to invite entities into your home. You have a wife and children to think about. Evil can sneak in and get established under the guise if a good guy. And before you know it you have big problems on your hands.

Daniel,

You know I applaud your zill and dedication, but please let me caution you about inviting anything into your home.  I don't extend this because of fear of evil or anything like that, but because if you are going to "ghost hunt" you need a place of peace and tranquility to regroup and recharge.  Your home should be that place and Al is right, that you have a family to think about.  I can tell you, from almost daily experience, that even benign entities can be a pain in the ass sometimes.  They do what they do and can be really annoying doing it and, unlike pets, you can't put them in their house, cage or room when they get on your nerves.  You also have to remember, that just because you invited them in, you may not be the one they decide to communicate with.  In fact, they are more likely to try to communicate with your kids, because children are more open and less threatening.

I'm not saying don't try communicating with them, just take precautions and don't do it in your home.  Remember, you don't know anything about the "people" you will be trying to contact.  Would you invite a stranger you know nothing about into your home, around your kids?
